  1. Hi Ron,
Nice Episode, I actually wasn’t expecting much from it while listening, but you got me with the last 3 minutes – good job, as usual. Shame on me for thinking otherwise

  3. Ron,
Great episode. It reminded me of coaching basketball many years ago (when I was in high school). You are right that its a undescribable experience (though you managed to describe it) when the kids develop skills and sportsmanship. In several years, you can look forward to seeing some of the kids you have coached grow up and become productive members of society.

  5. Speaking as someone who was a “Jake” in my youth [set athletic.skill = null] this episode was one of my favorites. Keep up the good work.

  7. Great episode once again Ron, but seems to have been missing something I though would have been there. I’ll have to e-mail you about it later.

  9. Great episode. I found your podcast going through some photos of people at a recent podcasting conference of all things. I look forward to more.

  11. Well that made driving home tough, what with the tears in my eyes at the end and all.
This griddlesode pretty much summed up why I love working with kids.

  13. Ron, as usual I am hooked. This is a perfect example of everyday story telling. This is a subject that carries no personal relevance for me other than I have kids. While listening I could truly empathize and I felt your pride. Great Show. Also where do you want votes? Podcast alley, iTunes?

  15. Hi all,
This post seems to have been saved by the spam-bots and keeps getting hammered, so I’m going to close this specific one from anymore comments and see what happens.
